The editor of the Winnipeg-based news magazine Christian Week is trying to figure out what Canadian Christians consider to be the top issues in the current federal election.
Doug Koop has sent out an email to what he calls a “broad representative sampling of Canadian Christians”, asking a single question.
“What is the most important issue for people of Christian faith in Canada to consider when they vote this fall?”
Mr. Koop is looking for short responses, not essays.  “Brief is good,” he writes, “like four sentences or less.”  He’d like the answers in by the end of this week.
There’s no web form to submit this, it’s all by email.  You can contact Doug Koop with your responses at dkoop@christianweek.org

Incidentally, we’re curious about your responses too.  Feel free to cut and paste a copy of your note to Mr. Koop, and leave it in our “comments” section below.

While there is a long list of issues that need to be addressed, no party (who can form the government) is willing to address them. As Christians we must do our part to influence the CPC from within by getting involved and joining riding associations, working to choose the best candidate, working with him or being the candidate yourself.
Our first priority must be to try to stop the erosion of our position and standards as Christians and abolish or revamp the HRCs.

  2. I think one of the main issues that needs to be addressed is the OHRC anti-Christian bigotry and rulings. This could endanger Canadian rights of all christians in Canada. If we let these idiots continue their anti-Christian hatred and obvious hate crimes against Christians we will soon see a preWWII style treatement of christians like they had in Germany for jewish people.

the polictally correct and the homosexual activists are guilty of extreme hatred and bigotry against anyone who does not agree that their choice of “lifestyle” should have the same rights as a racial minority in Canada. They know its morally wrong to be racists so they want to show themselves as a race. They are not a race as neither is any choice of lifestyle “a race”. Therefore truthfully the have no right to say christians or any organization must be approve of them. If homosexuality is a lifestyle and philosophical outlook on life and so is christianity they have an equal footing under the law. homosexuality is and never has been a racial distinction of any kind. Ontario loves wallowing in its secularism but soon they will taste the bitter fruit of their own folly.
