Another failed attempt at gov’t trying to predict the market

The leading god of today’s heathens – the state – fails again at trying to predict what the market wants, this time when it comes to retraining and employment. Due to the prevalence of idol worship today, politicians continue to appeal to whiners who want them to intervene in the economy, even in the face of constant and consistent evidence that they are terrible prognosticators of the economic future. And taxpayer dollars continue to be wasted. And gullible Canadians lack the courage to replace their faith in a Messianic State with faith in the true God of creation and providence.

Indeed, the government acknowledges in its latest report card on its “economic action plan” that it now anticipates a maximum uptake of 20,000 – less than half of its original estimate – by the time access to the program is cut off in May.

“The program is proving to be a dud as they have set it up,” said Laurell Ritchie, a national representative with the Canadian Auto Workers union. “So, they need to fix it. And fast.”
