Another reactionary feminist politician…

The National Post reported Thursday – “New Brunswick MLA apologizes for telling girls to have more babies” – that, “A New Brunswick politician apologized to the legislature yesterday for a post he made on his Facebook page urging young women to start having more children.”

The NP then produced the quote which showed no evidence of “urging.” To any remotely rational person, it was a humorous way to drive home his opposition to the Liberal budget, and not a recommendation for women at all.

The NP reported: “Carl Urquhart, a Progressive Conservative MLA from Saint John, on Tuesday wrote: ‘Another Liberal budget … Another $1-billion on the debt by March…. Girls we need more babies or we will never be able to support our future’.”

Not surprisingly, there’s at least one humourless feminist in New Brunswick who objected to the comment. Feminists are known for being completely devoid of a sense of humour, as well as of a sense of proportion. The NP reported that, “MLA Joan MacAlpine-Stiles told the legislature Mr. Urquhart should apologize, saying that ‘to suggest to New Brunswick’s young women that their only role in society and their only contribution to the New Brunswick economy is to have babies is demeaning and outdated thinking’.”

Ms. MacAlpine-Stiles should be ashamed of herself for twisting Mr. Urquhart’s words. Even if his comment was a serious statement on the role of women – which it wasn’t – he did not say the women’s ONLY role was to bear children. Ms. MacAlpine-Stiles either couldn’t think straight because she was so overcome by Mr. Urquhart’s comment due to her fringe ideological convictions or she willfully distorted his comment for partisan or ideological advantage. She should be the one apologizing, not Mr. Urquhart.

  1. Hello there,

I am a former NBC News reporter who is acting as the spokesman for Jack Steele, the informant who helped police solve the James Kopp case.

Jack Steele provided the tip that led to the arrest and conviction of James Kopp, who of course shot three Canadian doctors before shooting and killing an American doctor. Kopp is an anti-abortion fanatic who targeted the doctors because they were performing abortions.

A Canadian police task force put up a reward of $547,000 for information leading to Kopp’s arrest and conviction. Jack Steele provided that information, which the FBI has acknowledged. (The FBI paid him a reward already.) But today the Canadian police task force refuses to pay Steele his reward money. The FBI has written two letters protesting this injustice.

We’ve created a website to make people aware of what’s happened: http://canadianpolicereward.org/

What kind of a message does it send to other anti-abortion radicals in Canada when the police refuse to pay rewards for tipsters who help get anti-abortion murderers off the street??

I would appreciate it if you could publicize this effort, and the new website. I’d also like to know if you would recommend other websites or blogs we should contact.

    Many thanks for your attention,

    Jim

It’s good to get anti-abortion murderers off the streets, but there are maybe a hundred times more pro-abortion murderers in the hospitals. What kind of message is Jim Popkin sending if he ignores the plight of unborn children? It would be nice if he would recognize it instead of using euphemisms like DOCTOR instead of ABORTIONIST.

The Canadian police force are probably too busy to keep their promises. They’re too busy re-arresting grandmothers for pleading with mothers not to kill their children. See http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2009/nov/09113011.html Has Jack Steele spent any time in prison yet for trying to prevent murder?

It would be nice if Jim Popkin would have put his comment under a more relevant post. If it’s spam, then the site editor should delete both my comment as well as his.

Funny thing is that Liberal government of New Brunswick is currently in a litigation process against Dr. Henry Morgentaler over fees for abortions performed at Morgentaler’s clinics. I repeatedly tried to contact Nancy E. Forbes head of litigation team of New Brunswick government in order to pass on to her documents that I received from Germany that show that Henry Morgentaler is a pseudo-medical fraud who never studied medicine in Germany and obtained his medical diploma at University of Montreal by fraud and deception. One would think that the government of New Brunswick would be very interested in such documents as they would help them to win their case against Morgentaler and save New Brunswick taxpayers’ lot of money. No such luck with NB Liberals as Nancy E. Forbes refuses to even talk to me whenever I try to call and speak to her.
Liberals in New Brunswick would rather pay with taxpayers’ money for abortions performed by medical fraud and expose women of New Brunswick to increased risk of injury or infertility than confront Morgentaler and the Sisterhood of Hate (an army of crazed feminists) that support him.

I hope you’ll publicize my website. The actions of the Canadian police are bound to have a chilling effect on other tipsters in criminal cases, and sends a horrible message to other people who would do harm to abortion providers in Canada and the US.
