Socialist – ‘feminist, gay-rights’ – causes linked

A pro-homosexual writer identified as “a former trial lawyer” has just written, “Feminist, gay-rights causes linked.” The article has more to do with fake marriage than broader homosexual rights, but the title in particular brings to mind a philosophical battle that real conservatives need to continue to fight.

It is acknowledging a point often missed by today’s activists, especially those who like to be billed as “economic conservatives,” and that is the inherently leftist – or big government – nature of the homosexual agenda.

If feminism and homosexual rights are linked, which they are, it’s because they both require affirmative action, which is another term for group rights, which are justified by the assertion that parity of outcome is a moral, social and political good. And parity of outcome, which is billed by most people today as true EQUALITY – or SUBSTANTIVE equality – is antithetical to the principles of equality of opportunity, equality before the law and merit as the basis for reward.

The parity of outcome agenda requires a big interventionist state to interpose itself between customers and business owners, employers and employees, landlords and tenants, husbands and wives, parents and their children, parents and teachers, teachers and students, Christianity and politics, (to a lesser degree) Islam and politics, etc., etc.

To reiterate, the homosexual agenda is inherently socialist/state-ist/humanist. Everyone who calls himself a conservative of any stripe, but who supports homosexual rights, is ignorant – or worse – and should probably keep his views to himself in order to avoid embarassing himself further.
