If you aren’t familiar with the multi-year scandal of pro-abort persecution and political imprisonment of Baptist pro-life grandmother, Linda Gibbons, click here for LifeSiteNews’s webpage devoted to her history.
Linda Gibbons is in the slammer right now and NoApologies has received a recommendation that Canadians send her a Christmas card this season to encourage her and to let her know that she isn’t forgotten:
Subject: Christmas cards for imprisoned Canadian Pro-lifer Linda Gibbons
Please consider sending a Christmas card to Linda Gibbons. She was arrested on Jan. 20, 09 for attempting to speak with women entering the Scott abortion facility in Toronto. Linda wants the freedom to be able to speak freely to any woman considering having an abortion. A panel of three judges will hear Linda’s appeal on Jan. 20, 2010 and she will be in prison at least until then. Linda will not be home for Christmas. She likes to get Christmas cards when in prison. Thank you.

NoApologies received another email over the weekend regarding Linda Gibbons. The challenge is self-explanatory:
Subject: Special prayer need for Linda Gibbon’s Appeal
Let’s show Hell some of our Prayer Power by joining together at the same time on Dec. 10th at 10:30 a.m.. Please set your cell phones, alarms, whatever to stop what you’re doing and ask for a victory. Linda’s appeal is set for December 10th from 10:30 to approx.12:00 at Osgoode Hall – 130 Queen St. W (at University). We will be doing Show the Truth from 8:15 to 10:30 outside Osgoode Hall along University Avenue. God bless. Please pray for Linda, her lawyer Dan Santoro and the three judges hearing the case.

My info is that one should put a return address on the card itself, because the prison staff routinely opens the prisoners’ mail & (after inspection) delivers the contents, not the envelopes. (Linda likes to be able to respond to those who write.)
Keep the faith!

Just heard from Linda yesterday, it was written the day before her hearing, so no news on that yet.
However, jail administration has determined that prisoners can only send OUT two pieces of mail per day, so Linda says it will be a while before she can respond to all letters and cards.
I wonder if she got deluged with cards, and this was a factor in their new ruling. Admin does open and read everything, by the way. So they didn’t want more work for themselves.
