Despite the radical nature of Britain’s anti-Christian government, they lack the courage to be forthright in their hostility to Britain’s religion. As a result, the stark hypocrisy of their treatment of Islam in contrast to their treatment of Christianity is transparent.

O Britannia!: Depressingly Predictable

It’s one thing for the British government to eradicate every vestige of Christianity on the Scepter’d Isle. It’s another for it to demand that its territories do so as well.
The constitution of St. Helena, Ascension, and Tristan da Cunha islands states that the British territory wishes to respect “Christian and family values.” And the constitution of the Cayman Islands declares that it is a “God-fearing country based on traditional Christian values,” where “religion finds its expression in moral living and social justice.” Given the Cayman’s reputation as an off-shore financial center, that last part might raise a few eyebrows. But what really bothers the British Foreign Office isn’t any possible inconsistency – it’s mentioning Christianity at all.
When St. Helena was debating its new constitution, the British Foreign Office told its leaders that they should consider removing references to Christianity because “the UK was now multi-faith.” Territorial leaders, including Governor Andrew Gurr, responded that “while the UK may well be multi-faith, Christianity is the dominant religion on the island.” So, they kept it in. Well, as you probably guessed, it didn’t end there. A committee in Parliament raised the issue, and now the Foreign Office is giving “careful consideration” to ordering the territories to remove references to Christianity.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise, I guess. A few months ago, a Foreign Office official called on the Red Cross to replace the red cross with an “alternate symbol,” such as a “red crystal.” I’m not making this up. According to Foreign Office official Chris Bryant, the cross potentially “undermines” the work of the organization because of its “connection” to the Crusades. That the organization wasn’t founded until 600 years after the Crusades, or that it was derived from the flag of Switzerland doesn’t matter. Some non-Christian somewhere might take offense, so it has to go.
The fear of giving offense is probably why Bryant’s boss, Dave Miliband, failed to send out Christmas and Easter greetings, but remembered Ramadan. One staffer called the oversight “depressingly predictable.”

The first wonder is that Miliband and the British Government sincerely believe they’ll get away with their assault on Christianity. Christians should already believe that God is calmly observing the goings-on, and making plans for the future. His wisdom is profound; He can easily enforce His will.

Hitler promised Germans that the Third Reich would last from 1932 until 2932. He thought he could get away with it.
For much of his life, Joseph Stalin denied God. Yet, on hearing his diagnosis of cancer, he said, “Oh my God.” Fifteen minutes after Stalin’s death was announced, his twelve foot statue in Red Square had been pulled down. Three years later, Nikita Khrushchev systematically destroyed Stalin’s image as a public hero in a three hour speech to the Soviet Communist Party Congress.

The politically correct cowards that currently run the UK are seeing the beginning of the end of their power. For too long, the once proud nation of “Great” Britian has been governed by the pseudo-Marxist Labour Government that has almost completely destroyed the British way of Life in their deranged vision that all should be equal and no-ones culture or religion, not even the indigenous Christian inhabitants of the country, should in any way be regarded as superior or more morally grounded that anyone elses. The son to be ex-Prime minister, Gordon Brown, has all but exphunged Christmas and Easter from the lips of the masses, yet appears on TV every year at Ramadan to praise Islam and the great “contributions” that this 7th century barbaric cult has wrought upon the West.
Britain is all but finished. The nation’s current leadership is now so obsessed with multiculturalism and political correctness, 300,000 immigrants a year continue to pour into Britain as the nation’s immigration policy is now being dictated by the faceless and unelected bureaucrats of the EU.
Is there any hope? I doubt if the Conservative Party will make any meaningful changes, and the 5,000 Britons leaving their country every month for Australia, Canada,and New Zealand are voting with their feet.
It is surely a sign that the end times are drawing ever closer.
